On Wednesday 19 December Philharmonic Orchestra of Mendoza (Argentina) performs its traditional Christmas concert. Part of the program will present the premiere Latin American of Josu Elberdin´s Magnificat.
It is an initiative of the prestigious argentinian choir conductor Silvana Vallesi.
On stage, and with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Mendoza, can see a choir of 200 children from different institutions corals, Basque music band 3 Baietz, the trikitrilari Alex Garate and Amalia Villalba and Carla Perez Torres vocal soloists, all conducted by Ligia Amadio.
Magnificat, written commissioned by the Basque Choir Leioa Kantika Korala, and recorded on the disc Kantika Sakra, is a great opportunity where alboka, txalaparta and trikitixa (traditional Basque instruments) will be combined with a symphony orchestra, two vocal soloists and a great children’s choir.
The event is next Wednesday, December 19th at 21.30 hours on the esplanade of the government house of Mendoza (Argentina).
