Antara Korai, this young choir of equal voices from Alcorcón born in 1984in the Municipal School of Music “Manuel de Falla” of Alcorcón (Spain) with the aim of promoting choral music for young people in the municipality. Consisting of fifty girls and boys, students of the School, over the years have been numerous concerts and taken part in choral festivals and exchanges across the Spanish geography.
Under the direction of Juan Antonio Jimenez, just recorded their first album, which, with the title “Antara Korai – Voces Blancas de Alcorcón “ includes representative works in the repertoire of the group. Among the works recorded we can find recorded music of M. J. Rodriguez, J.Guerrero, X. Sarasola, J. Hernando, J. Elberdin or K. Sato. Of Elberdin have recorded”Angelus“, written in 2007 on commission for Kantika Korala of Leioa (Spain).
The disc will be presented on Sunday April 22 at 19:00 pm in the Theater of Buero Vallejo Alcorcón (Madrid).
