Elberdin Jury at the 23rd International Youth Contest of Habaneras of Torrevieja

The next 28 and 29 April will be held the 23rd International Contest Habaneras and Polyphony of Torrevieja, in its category of Youth Choirs.

This time 8 choirs will participate, 4 of them of the international scene, and, another 4 national choirs. The national choirs selected for the competition come from Galicia, Valencian Community, Andalusia and Community of Madrid, and among the Internationals three are from Eastern Europe (Ukraine, Slovakia and Russia) and one comes from South America, specifically from Colombia.

All the choirs in competition must interpret in a single performance three habaneras with text in Spanish, one of which will be obligatory for all the participants (‘Entre dos mares’, original in music and lyrics by Antoni Mas and Indira Ferrer), and must interpret a choral work of international repertoire or of their country of origin, of free choice.

Josu Elberdin has been designated as one of the members of the jury, along with David Colado and Ruth Revert.
