In Split, Croatia, this year will be held 16th edition of Choral Festival of Spiritual Music Cro Patria organized by Jeunesses Musicales Split, member of Jeunesse Musicales International. This competition was created 16 years ago, after the war inCroatia, in order to encourage the Croatian composers to create new choral compositions.
Recently, the Festival have composers participants from all over the world and each with its own very specific musical language.
At the event choirs are performing new choral compositions mostly written by Croatian and some foreign composers who submitted never performed compositions for the competition.
Elberdin has been choosen as a Jury member for evaluation of new choral compositions for International Choral Festival Cro patria 2012. Can locate in jury to various composers and musicians, such as David Bennet Thomas, Eriks Esenvalds, Josu Elberdin, Tomislav Uhlik, Kurt Bikkembergs, etc.
This year the festival will be held from November 29th to December 2nd.
