One hundred members of the choral groups of the Fundación Nacional Batuta from all over the Colombian national territory will work in the coming days and present a concert that exalts cultural and musical diversity expressed through song. They will do so through a program called “Singing with the Basque Country” and which collects the results of the training process of children, adolescents and young people from Batuta in the Colombian cities of Cúcuta, Pasto, Ibagué, Montería, Bogotá and in the municipality of Jericó, Antioquia.
Under the direction of Josu Elberdin, who has extensive pedagogical experience with children’s and youth choirs around the world, a fresh repertoire will be performed, with music by contemporary composers from the youth choral field of the United States, Basque Country, Brazil and Colombian music.
The final result will be presented on October 2, at 5:00 p.m. at the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo, in Bogotá
