One year ago, Marie Hargous-Lesur decided to do the premiere in France of the Josu Elberdin´s Magnificat. She is the conductor of  Kantaldea choir of Paris. On May 24, we can hear the work in the French capital.

Kantaldea is a group born in 2011, a chorus that is passionate about the works of contemporary Basque composers who play well in training mixed or treble voices.

The first part of the concert will be done by Kantaldea Mixed Choir, who will perform a repertoire of works by Basque and Spanish authors from the early twentieth century to the present. Find works by Uruñuela, Beobide, Guridi, Dominguez, Casals, Azurza or Busto, among others.

In the second part, the women’s section of the choir sing the Magnificat by Josu Elberdin in its version for voices and organ. The organ will play by Fabre Guin.

The concert will be on May 24 in Paris, at 20:30 pm in the Church of Sainte Marie des Batignolles.
