This Saturday, June 15, Javier Busto says goodbye as a choir director, after 54 years of doing this work with choirs around the world. He is not retiring from his compositional work, but he is leaving the front line of choral direction.

For this reason, a special tribute concert has been organized. Aquam Lauda, his current female choir, will participate in this event and will be accompanied by Kanta Cantemus, Eskifaia and Ederki, choirs that he has conducted for the last 54 years.

Will have several premieres written for the occasion with music by Junkal Guerrero, David Azurza, Xabier Sarasola, Eva Ugalde, Josu Elberdin and Javier Busto. In the case of Elberdin, he has written Itsasoak bazekien, with text by Josune López, a work for piano and female voices, as a tribute and wish for a good future.

The concert will be on Saturday, June 15 at 8:00 p.m. at the Parish of Nuestra Señora del Manzano in Hondarribia, Javier Busto’s hometown.

Free admission until full capacity.
