The Santiago Apóstol Choral Family (FCSA) was born in Casarrubuelos (Madrid) in 2007 and currently has its headquarters in Griñón (Madrid). It was initially founded as Choir Santiago Apóstol (adult choir), from its current direct Mariano García, who was later joined by the creation of the Encanto Choir (youth section) and the Illusions Choir (children’s section).
This year the founding group celebrates 10 years and, to celebrate, the 130 singers of the 3 choirs will perform the great successes of their repertoire at this CSA10 Gala, which will be held on November 25 at the Auditorium of the Professional Music Conservatory of Getafe (Madrid).
They will count as guests with numerous conductors and composers of first level, and as closing will be the premiere of “Melodía sin medida”, a piece commissioned by the FCSA to the Basque composer Josu Elberdin to become a hymn that reflects the values and feelings of the choral movement in all its stages, infantile, juvenile and adult.
