Premiere of several works of Elberdin in the Choral day of Musikaste 2018

Next Friday, May 25, the Choral Day of the 46th edition of MUSIKASTE is celebrated: The Basque Music Week, organized by Eresbil, the archive of Basque Composers. For the edition of this year they will have four choirs: Araba Abesbatza (Vitoria), San Juan Bautista Abesbatza (Leioa) Nora Abesbatza (Sangüesa) and Landarbaso Abesbatza (Renteria).

 

The choirs will sing works by Basque composers and they will premiere scores by Sara Varas, Eva Ugalde, Xabier Sarasola and Josu Elberdin. San Juan Baustista (Conductor Basilio Astulez) will premiere within its program “Tu palabra perdura“, work commissioned for its 50th anniversary, with text by Alvaro Ortiz de Zárate and music by Elberdin. Landarbaso Abesbatza (Conductor Iñaki Tolaretxipi), meanwhile, will premiere “Two sacred Songs” (Laudate, O Lux) by Elberdin, commissioned by the choir for their participation in the 50th anniversary of the Tolosa International Choir Competition.

 

The concert will be on May 25, Friday, at 20:00 hours in the Parish of Fatima (Renteria).
